Hey guys 🙂
I have here a preview of what you can find online and in store for the Rihanna Collection for River Island…with this you can start adding items onto your list if you find anything that you will like.
If you read my post of the fashion show at London Fashion Week then ye know and already seen that her collection was very 90’s with a grunge influence. So…there’s a lot of crop tops and there’s a lot of black. There are some neon pieces there so on trend for this spring/summer. The collection also has a few pieces that have the tied knot at the waist giving it a casual look which she wanted from her collection. She had said in one of the promotional videos that she wanted her collection to be very casual…it’s for the girl who likes to throw on stuff and doesn’t look like it’s been thought about for ages.
“Satin dresses, jersey skirts and dresses with thigh high splits, denim, tensile twill parkas, crop tops, t-shirts, fine gauge knits, jumpsuits, varsity jackets, ‘barely there’ sandals, ankle boots, rucksacks and snapback caps make up the collection.”
“Colour palettes of monochrome, navy and beige with high lights of neon make up the Spring collection, while the Summer collection consists of monochrome, red, floral prints, tie dye and stripes. The show is styled by Mel Ottenberg, Rihanna’s stylist and Adam Selman, her designer.”
Here are a few pieces which you can expect in stores and online.
“The 120 piece collection encompasses spring, which goes on sale on the 5th of March and Summer, which goes on sale in May at selected River Island stores globally and online, prices start from €25. Both collections will also be sold exclusively in the United States and Japan at Opening Ceremony.”
I am really looking forward to the thigh split maxi dress and the thigh slit maxi skirt which I love because of the zip detail there which is extremely sexy and you can’t expect anything less but that from Rihanna. The price range isn’t that bad…well it was in Pounds but hope though that the prices won’t be hiked up too much as it is with Topshop.
What do you think about the collection? Will you be buying any of the items?
You are Beautiful!
