Dylan Penn, actress and daughter of Sean Penn and Robin Wright, is starring in Karen Millen’s short film ‘No More Tiaras’. To celebrate the opening of their new flagship stores on London’s Brompton Road and New York’s 5th Avenue they collaborated with emerging talent from both sides of the pond to bring you this short film.
With 13 US stores and a highly successful partnership with Bloomingdales in 15 locations with a further 5 scheduled to open in 2014/15, the brand’s US business continues to grow. International expansion also continues with further planned openings in Canada, Norway, India and Taipei for 2014.
The film is a fun, engaging and affectionate look at the brands evolution into the international accessible luxury house it has become today. You can watch the short film below.
The Evolution of Karen Millen
The Karen Millen collection has evolved over the past few years to offer a luxurious high low mix of perfectly cut trend-led pieces and seasonal wardrobe staples including their iconic biker jacket. For the SS14 season the essence is the same, but the attitude has changed: Karen Millen is confident but smiling, strong but easy and this fresh spirit is encapsulated in their new SS14 collection. Every piece is designed, cut and finished in the brand’s design studio based in Shoreditch, London, ensuring that Karen Millen continues to stand for exceptional quality, craftsmanship and cutting edge design.
She is making a name for herself because of her acting and fashion credentials. As well as landing a Vogue spread alongside Kendall Jenner this week, she also working it in Karen Millen’s just released ‘No More Tiaras’ campaign. She acts alongside gorgeous ladies of the modelling, arts and acting worlds-Langley Fox Hemingway, Stephanie La Cava, and Adwoa Aboah.
In the mini fashion film, the girls play beauty queens from the US and UK competing in the ‘Miss Galaxy Beauty Pageant 2014’. But it’s clear, that from the opening scene, the ladies don’t want to play fair. This movie sees them take over the show with plenty of attitude in their covetable Karen Millen outfits.
